Film documentary on Havergal Brian
A presentation by the Staffordshire Film Archive on HB on 6th December
Posted: 19 November 2017
A film documentary on Havergal Brian entitled HAVERGAL WHO? was presented by the Staffordshire Film Archive at 7.45pm on Wednesday 6th December 2017 at the Film Theatre, College Road, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 2EF, on behalf of the North Staffs Symphony Orchestra.
The Gothic symphony was performed in 1978 in the Victoria Hall, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, organised and performed by many members of the North Staffs Symphony Orchestra. Unseen since 1980, this newly-digitised film features some of the orchestra and a performance by the Bedford Singers, of Penkhull.
Full details can be found on the North Staffs Symphony Orchestra website.
