Cleopatra premiere article
Bristol University article published, referring to the reviving of a 'lost Cleopatra cantata'
Posted: 5 March 2016
John Pickard's orchestration of the Vision of Cleopatra has been highlighted in an article published by the University of Bristol on their website. The article (here) indicates that the full score was lost in the Blitz, and that the reconstruction will be its first performance in orchestral guise in more than a hundred years. The premiere of Professor Pickard's orchestration takes place in Bristol on Saturday 12th March 2016. Further details can be seen on the home page.
