Lyrita Symphonies 6 and 16 re-issued

The ground-breaking 1970s recordings of symphonies 6 and 16 by Myer Fredman and the LPO were re-released in March to great acclaim, coupled with a recording of Arnold Cooke's third symphony. See the cover art below.

The Society is offering its edition of Brian’s complete piano music free to each of the first 100 people to contact us  and ask for a copy. The 80-page, hardback volume contains Brian’s Three Illuminations, Four Miniatures, the Preludes and Fugues in C minor and D minor/major, the Double Fugue in E flat major and John Dowland’s Fancy, all written between 1916 and 1934; the music is prefaced by an Introduction by Harold Truscott and ends with an Historical Appendix by Malcolm MacDonald. Havergal Brian: The Complete Music for Solo Piano normally costs £11.00; the HBS is asking only £2 to cover postage and packing. We welcome enquiries from educational institutions.
