Brian's fourth opera Faust recorded over four days in Studio 1

Martyn Brabbins conducted the forces of English National Opera in a complete recording of Brian's fourth opera Faust in the world-famous Studio 1 at Abbey Road. Undertaken over two sessions per day for four days from Tuesday 27th to Friday 30th August 2019, the statistics are:

• 574 takes,
• 18 hours 55 minutes and seven seconds of recorded material,
• 2441 bars of music,
• 439 pages of typeset full orchestral score!
