Cleopatra premiere UPDATE

Information related to the booking process for tonight's premiere of John Pickard’s orchestration of Havergal Brian’s The Vision of Cleopatra

Brian's Vision Of Cleopatra (after Cumberland) which currently only exists in vocal score, has been orchestrated by eminent British composer, Professor of Composition at Bristol University and HBS Archivist John Pickard. The first performance will take place at the Victoria Rooms in Bristol on Saturday, 12th March 2016, from 7.30pm. The work in the first half of the programme will be Beethoven's Mass in C.

The performers will be Eve Daniell (soprano), Rachael Cox (mezzo-soprano), Angharad Lyddon (alto), Jeffrey Lloyd-Roberts (tenor), Alexander Learmonth (bass), with the Bristol University Choral Society and Symphony Orchestra, conducted by John Pickard.
