Brian at the English Music Festival 2022

A recital of songs by Havergal Brian will take place at this year's English Music Festival in Dorchester-on-Thames

A recital of English songs including twelve by Havergal Brian will take place at the English Music Festival at 10.45am on Saturday 28 May 2022 in Dorchester Abbey, Dorchester-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. The soloist will be the baritone Gareth Brynmor John, accompanied on the piano by Christopher Glynn. Other composers featured are Holbrooke, Vaughan Williams, Elgar and Truscott.

Later in the day at 5.45pm, John Pickard will be giving a talk in the Dorchester Village Hall entitled 'Havergal Brian Fifty Years on - Myths, Misconceptions and Mysteries'.
